Along the Silk Road

Along the Silk Road in a historical city; Qazvin, Iran on 23 september 1986, a boy was born in an ordinary family called Javad. When he was a little boy his surrounding phenomena were stimulating his curiosity. He thought many hours to his questions about stars, earth and human. For this reason he was following scientific programs, history of science and scientist biographies. At 15 years old he was interested in how function human body especially brain. Reading books and watching scientific documentaries about human biology made more questions him about a new subject; mind. What is mind? How’s it created? What relation is there between brain and mind?

Javad was 20. He knew studying Psychology in university can satisfy his old curiosity about mind and brain. He continued his scientific journey along the Silk Road in Mohaghegh Ardabili University, Ardabil. After bachelor period studying psychometrics in master course was the best option for Javad because he needed to acquire more knowledge about the assessment and measurement in psychology. According his studies in projective techniques and maladaptive schemas for master dissertation Javad developed 10 projective images for assessment of maladaptive schemas under supervisor professor Ali Delavar and advisor professor Ahmad Borjali. He fulfilled his master period successfully in Allame Tabatabai University, Tehran 2019.

Javad’s adventurous travel in knowledge route had not been finished. He experienced variant jobs as a psychologist and had participated in different workshops. Finally he found neurocognitive psychology as his silk route to explore his old questions.Now Javad is Ph.D student in psychology in UMA, Ardabil where he had started his travel. He studies enthusiastically the neurocognitive bases of learning, memory and intelligence. He’s interested in research about mirror neurons.
